Mark Anthony Lia

Mark Lia, of Milan, died on Thursday, January 18, 2001 at his home at the age of 50.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan with Rev. Wayne Anderson officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Strand Funeral Service of Milan was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mark Anthony Lia was born on January 10, 1951 in Montevideo, MN to G. Palmer and Delores (Haff) Lia.  He graduated from Milan High School in 1969  and from Canby Technical College.  On February 5, 1977 he was united in marriage to Kimberly Koenen at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  He spent most of his life farming his childhood home farm near Milan, MN, worked as a mechanic for area implement dealers and Parkview Ford in Montevideo and was currently employed by Riverview Farms of rural Morris, MN.  He was a member of several farming organizations, Swift Co. Cenex Board, Neighbors United Resource Center Board and was a lifelong member of Kviteseid Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife - Kimberly; a son - Christopher Lia of Alexandria, MN; daughters - Cheryl Lia of Minneapolis, MN and Crystal Lia of Milan; by parents - G. Palmer and Delores Lia of Milan; in-laws - LeRoy and Virginia Koenen of Montevideo as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
