Marvin Agre died Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Johnson Memorial Health Services in Dawson at the age of 87.
A celebration of life will be held at Marvin's home, 267 North 5th Street in Dawson on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.
Marvin Jay Agre was born October 21, 1933 in Wegdahl, MN the son of Arthur and Florence (Milbeck) Agre. He grew up in the Montevideo area and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1953. He was united in marriage with Grace Storlien October 31, 1954 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. They moved to the Cities in 1964 and he worked for Fogerty Bus Co. Which later became Laidlaw Bus Co. As a mechanic until he retired in 1998. They returned to Dawson where he worked as a bus driver for Dawson-Boyd Schools until retiring in 2014. Marvin enjoyed hunting and fishing. Grace died February 4, 2013.
He is survived by three children: Ken (Coreen) Agre of Shafer, MN, Jim (Carrie) Agre of Palmer, AK, and Teresa (Scott) Askins of Cambridge, MN; seven grandchildren: Kohl (Leah), Kallie (Cody), Korah (Jordan), Luke (Jamie) Jeremy (Leslie) Paul (Spring) and Letty; fourteen great-grandchildren: Kelena, Karis, Kenedie, Kacie, Rowen, Malaki, Michael, Javis, Kaia, Kinsley, Caxton, Bowen, Summit, and Ailey; and four sisters: Ardis Eekoff of Montevideo, Shirley Sachariason of Montevideo, Lorraine Christensen of Watertown, SD, and Beverly Linee of MI.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Grace.
