Marvin Christenson, of Montevideo, died on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 68.  Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Jevnaker Lutheran Church near Montevideo with Rev. Marie Eckberg officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Marvin Herbert Christenson was born on July 28, 1938 near Hayfield,  in Dodge County, MN to John and Hilma (Holtan) Christenson.  He moved with his family to the Montevideo area in 1944. He was a resident of the REM Home and Selah Services in Montevideo for many years and  was currently a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home.  He worked at Chippewa Enterprises.  He especially enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and liked to bowl, fish, and loved old time music and dancing.

He is survived by three brothers: Sherman of Mankato, MN, Robert (and JoAnn) of Montevideo, MN, and Larry (and Barb) of Montevideo, MN; one sister: Lorene Bouska of Montevideo, MN; numerous nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law Carol Christenson of Raymond, MN; and foster parents, Ron and Rachel Garbe of Montevideo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ardella Boysen; three brothers: Archie, Walter and Orville Christenson; two brothers-in-law: Robert Bouska and Morris Boysen; and two sisters-in-law: Beverly Christenson and  Adeline Christenson.
