Marvin Paul Theodore Krenz was born on September 15, 1915 to William and Mata (Milhardt) Krenz on the family farm in Havelock Township, Chippewa Co., MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock and attended school in District 80. On October 6, 1940 he was united in marriage to Jean Mann at the Raymond Methodist Church. They lived, raised their family and farmed on their farm in Grace Township. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock, where his grandfather gave the land for the church and Marvin physically helped build the current church. He loved farming, driving his Ford car (Henry), going to threshing bees, auctions and watching Polka Time and Molly B on television. All of these came second, though, to having lunch with his family.
He is survived by two daughters: Marlene Bang of Murdock, MN and Wanda (and Darryl) Schmidt of Alexandria, MN; four grandchildren: Aaron (Natalie) Schmidt, Ali (Brian) Crockett, April Schmidt and Abram Schmidt; five great grandchildren: Ethan, Christopher, Collin, Eva and Molly; two step great grandchildren: Carson and Calin; a sister, Elta Broers of Clara City, MN and by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jean in 1995; a sister, Edna Boysen; two brothers: Herbert and Elton Krenz and by a son-in-law, Robert Bang.
