Services - Friday October 1, 1993 11:00 A.M. United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens of Montevideo. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Mary Anna (Sell) Dack was born on May 28, 1909 in Traer, Iowa to James and Anna Sell. She grew up and attended school in Iowa. She was united in marriage to Herald Dack on December 25, 1928 in Reinbeck, Iowa. They moved to the Montevideo, Mn. area in 1939, living on a farm in rural Montevideo until moving into Montevideo in 1967. She was employed for several years at the Trailways Cafe in Montevideo in the 1970's. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Montevideo, was a member of their women's group, and was a member of the Degree of Honor. She has been a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home for the past several years.
Mary died on September 28, 1993 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 84. She is survived by sons - Dale and Edgar of Montevideo, Mn.; Harry of Enterprise, Ala.; Donald of Clarkfield, Mn. and John of Granite Falls, Mn.; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; by sisters - Irma Keller and Evelyn Murphy of Reinbeck, Iowa; Florence McQuorrie of Fairbault, MN.; and LaVonne DeGrote of Parkersburg, Ia.; by a brother - Roy Sell of Reinbeck, Iowa; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Herald in 1973; by a son Ernie; by brothers - Harry and Elmer Sell; and by a sister - Alva in infancy.
