Mary Jane (Olson) Mehrer

Mary Jane Mehrer, 65, of Montevideo died March 23, 1996 at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson, MN.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 1996 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  Rev. Timothy Lindhorst and Rev. Alvin G. Lewis will officiate and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and at the church for one hour before services on Wednesday.

Mary Jane Olson was born October 12, 1930 at Larchwood, IA the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Lambkin) Olson.  They later moved to South Dakota and Mary Jane graduated from high school in Canton, SD in 1948.  She worked as the Secretary of the South Dakota Dairy Association for many years.  Mary Jane was united in marriage with Nestor Mehrer August 9, 1974 in Brookings, SD.  They made their home in Montevideo and she moved to the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson in 1993.

She is survived by her husband, Nestor; two daughters: Roxine Reade and her husband Jerry of Yankton, SD and Dawn Wallnor of San Jose, CA; and one sister, Moline Olson of Sioux Falls, SD.

Preceding her in death were her parents and five brothers.
