November 29, 1932 — March 15, 2008

Mary Jane Marholz, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 75. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. David Baumgarn officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening with the family present from 6 - 8 PM and with a prayer service at 7:45 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers. Mary Jane (Ervin) Marholz was born on November 29, 1932 in Leenthrop Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Clifford and Alicia (Stark) Ervin. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She attended Montevideo Public Schools and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1950. On March 17, 1951 she was united in marriage to Ray Marholz at the St. Paul Lutheran Parsonage. They lived and farmed in Rosewood Township for many years before moving into Montevideo. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and involved in their women's activities. She enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, flowers, gardening, her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ray; four children: Deb Wick and her husband Ed of Delano, MN; Tim Marholz and his wife Leona of Ephrata, PA; Jeff Marholz and his wife Cindy of Becker, MN and Pam Knothe and her husband Kent of Becker, MN; 13 grandchildren: Scott (and Tonia) Wick; Steve Wick; Stacey (and Ralph) Sawatzke; Shawn (and Heather) Sweigart; Jennifer L.(and Brad) Nolt; Jennifer J. (and Jason) Peiser; Franklin Marholz; Christina (and Clint) Davis; Ashley (and Jason) Lutz; Taylor Marholz; Tracey (and Josh) Whaley; Tanya Knothe and Dana Knothe;9 great grandchildren: Tyler Wick; Britney Trulson; Kaylee Sweigart; Sara & Amanda Nolt; Reid & Riley Lutz; Hunter Whaley and Shelby Whaley; Four sisters: Shirley Angrimson of Montevideo, MN, Jean Lundy of Watertown, SD, Vera (and Bob) Farrell of Mountville, PA and Janice (and Frances) Lund of Oregon City, OR; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Howard in 2007.
