Mickey Schall, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 90. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Montevideo with Fr. Jim Devorak the celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with the family present from 4 - 6 P.M. and with a prayer vigil at 5:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Mary Viola "Mickey" (Tammen) Schall was born on December 9, 1921 in Chippewa Co., MN to John and Mary (Boike) Tammen. She grew up in the Maynard area and graduated from Maynard High School. On July 19, 1941 she was united in marriage to Earl Schall at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Montevideo. She lived all of her married life in Montevideo. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Montevideo Country Club. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing bridge and was devoted to her family. She is survived by three children: Barbara (and Dennis) Marble of Eden Prairie, MN; Nancy Hofbauer of Minnetonka, MN and Michael (and Genelle) Schall of Hutchinson, MN; six grandchildren: Timothy and Thomas Marble; Carrie Kieper and Allyson, Mitchell and Benjamin Schall; eight great grandchildren: Jack, Sam, Riley, Casey, Tyler, Ryan, Ethan and Sydney; a sister, Ann Danielson of Clara City, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Earl in 1994.
