Maurice Hutichson

Maurice Hutchison of Montevideo, died on Wednesday September 11, 1996 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City, MN at the age of 85.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday September 16 at 10:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Joseph Prakasim officiating.  Burial  is in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening  and prior to services at the funeral home.

Maurice Hutchison was born April 18, 1911 to John and Laura (Thompson) Hutchison at Ft. Dodge, Iowa.  He attended schools in Ft. Dodge and graduated from Iowa State College in Ames, Iowa.  Maurice enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served in the South Pacific at Guadalcanal and later in the Aleutians and the Naval Air Station at Kodiak, Alaska.  He farmed in Illinois and Iowa before moving to Minnesota and farming with his brother Glen in the Montevideo area before retiring in 1993.  He then moved into Montevideo and later to the Clara City Nursing Home.

He is survived by one niece and two nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; six sisters: Laura Davis, Cecil Kellis, Frieda Caldwell, Ida Hutchison, Susan Bowerbox, and Bessie Hutchison; and four brothers: John, Tom, Kenneth and Glen Hutchison.
