Michael Lund, Jr., of Montevideo, died on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 36.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Matt Philaya officiating. Burial will be in the Strombeck Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday with the family from 5-7 P.M. and with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Michael Arthur Lund, Jr. was born on October 25, 1976 the son of Michael and Brenda (Meador) Lund in Montevideo, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church and graduated from Montevideo Senior High School 1995. He served in the US Air Force from February 1996 - December 1998. After his discharge, he returned to Montevideo where he worked at Jennie-O and Impact Plastics. He enjoyed bowling in league on Monday and Thursday nights.
He is survived by his father, Michael, Sr. of Montevideo; one sister, Mary (Thomas) Shattuck of Montevideo; two nieces: Ashlyn and Alexa; his grandparents: Earl and Gloria Meador of Mechanicsville, VA; three uncles: Ronald and Douglas Meador both of Richmond, VA and Wayne Lund of Ramsey, MN; and three aunts: Sharon Pearn of Mechanicsville, VA, Sandra Meier of Lakefield, MN and Linda Cournoyer of Cedar, MN.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Brenda Lund in 1996 and his grandparents Simon and Myrtle Lund.
