Michael Jonathan Sletten was born on Saturday, March 9, 1968 in St. Paul, MN to Richard Allen Sletten and Jacquelyne "Jackie" Marie (Telford) Sletten. Michael was confirmed at a young age in a Lutheran Church in DeKalb, IL. As a young boy, he was active in Cub Scouts, and later was interested in computers and making videos. After graduating from high school, he became employed as a Legal Ad Clerk for "The Daily Pilot" in Costa Mesa, CA, until he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, then subsequently pursued his computer interest further.
He is survived by his mother Jackie Brooks of Carlsbad, CA; father Richard Allen Sletten of Phoenix, AZ; step-father Tom Brooks of Carlsbad, CA; half-sister Crystal Sletten of Phoenix, AZ; aunts Kitty Krogsrud of Appleton, MN and Chris Leigh of West Virginia; uncles David Telford of Appleton, MN and John Sletten of Pennsylvania; and other relatives.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Michael Jonathan Sletten, of Davisville, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the age of 46 years, 9 months, and 12 days.
