Mike Macziewski, of Montevideo, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 79.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Lieske officiating. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens in Rural Montevideo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4-6 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Arthur Paul “Mike” Macziewski was born on May 7, 1936 to Arthur and Martha (Guse) Macziewski. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity of Havelock. He graduated from Maynard High School in 1954. Following high school he farmed. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his service to his country he returned to farming and later to carpentry work for Thorstad’s Construction and Friendship Homes. His hobbies included fishing and working with wood. Mike was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mike is survived by one sister Lorna Cobb of Maynard; a sister-in-law Mary Macziewski of Montevideo and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley in infancy; a brother, Richard; brother-in-law, Leland Cobb; and a nephew, Steve Macziewski.
