Funeral service was at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, January 11, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Tyro Township, rural Boyd, with Pastor Allen Lonnquist officiating; Melanie Robertson read "When I'm Gone", Ashley Skorczewski read "Remembering" and Isaac Nelson read Psalm 23; and organist, Luther Wurster accompanied the hymns: "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name", "Behold a Host Arrayed in White" and "Abide With Me." Kristalyn and Joshua Hyche were honorary casketbearers and Laralyn & Duane Skorczewski, Joseph Nelson, Melanie & Jamie Robertson and Isaac Nelson were the active casketbearers. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mildred Irene Just was born February 11, 1923, in Minneapolis, to Emil and Inga (Medtlyng) Lyngen. When she was 4 years old, they moved to Watson. She was baptized and then on November 15, 1936, she was confirmed at the Watson Lutheran Church. She attended country school in Chippewa and Lac Qui Parle Counties and graduated from Appleton High School in 1940. From 1942 to 1945, she received Nurse's Training in Chicago. On September 21, 1947, Mildred was united in marriage to Urban Just at the Zion Lutheran Church, Boyd by Rev. Louis Rosin. Two children: Carolyn and Kenneth, were born to this union. They lived in rural Boyd and Clarkfield and moved to Granite Falls in 1981, and to Dawson in 2003. She worked as an RN at the Clarkfield Hospital until her retirement in 1984. She always liked music, especially old songs, crocheting and sewing, playing with and talking to her "kitties", spending time with family and friends and cooking her special glorified rice and hot dishes for family gatherings. Mildred died on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 26 days. She is survived by her husband, Urban Just of Dawson; daughter, Carolyn (Stan) Nelson of Dawson; 5 grandchildren: Laralyn (Duane) Skorczewski of Hendricks, Joseph Nelson of rural Boyd, Melanie (Jamie) Robertson of Marshall, Kristalyn (Joshua) Hyche of Parish, Alabama, and Isaac Nelson of Minneapolis; 3 great-grandchildren: Ashley and Haley Skorczewski and Aaron Hyche; sister, Elaine Jacobson of St. Paul; nieces: Diane (Tim) Brennan of St. Paul and Donna (Greg) Galvin of New Prague; other family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Kenneth in 1972; sister and brother-in-law, Alvina and Warren Sanford; brother-in-law, Lloyd Jacobson; and nephew, Douglas Jacobson
