Ruth Moseng, of Montevideo and formerly of Baxter Township in Lac Qui Parle Co., died on Friday March 15, 1996 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 86.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday March 19 at 1:30 PM at Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter with Rev. Steve Rheingans officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Miranda Ruth (Agre) Moseng was born on April 23, 1909 in Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac Qui Parle Co, MN to Joseph and Anna (Estling) Agre. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, MN and attended rural schools. She was united in marriage to Edwin Moseng on November 23, 1929 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. She lived most of her married life on a family farm in Baxter Township. After retirement they moved to a piece of land connected to the main farm, where they lived until moving to Montevideo in 1994. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Baxter for most of her married life, and was active in its ladies groups, circle, and homemakers of Baxter.
She is survived by her husband - Ed; by a daughter - Arlene Runyon and her husband Dean of Montevideo, MN; by a son - Russell Moseng and his wife Susan of rural Dawson, MN; grandchildren - Cindy(and Larry) Agre; Bradley Runyon; Jodi (and Alan) Enevoldsen; Brent (and Lisa) Moseng; Jami (and Chad) Anhalt; and Randy (and Jody) Moseng; by great grandchildren -Ryan, Nathan, Tristan and Lacey Agre; Tasha and Devin Enevoldsen; and Emily and Haley Moseng; by a sister - Elvina Baker of New Richmond,WI and by brothers - Art Agre of Montevideo and Jennings Agre of Boyd, MN
She was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother - Sydney Agre, and by an infant granddaughter.
