Mitchell Swanson

Mitchell R. Swanson was born in Dawson, MN to Vernit and Kathleen (Sorlie) Swanson on July 28, 1951.  He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and graduated from Dawson High School in 1969.  He made his home in Dawson and worked at LQP Coop Oil, Hogenson Construction and Chandlers in Montevideo, MN.  He moved to Johnson Memorial Care Center in October 2022 and really enjoyed being there.

Mitchell died Sunday, November 20, 2022 of Johnson Memorial Care Center at the age of 71.  He is survived by his sister, Linda (Ken) Ellefson; two nieces: Erika (Travis) Telkamp, Molly (Dan) McShane and good friend Clarence Miller.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents and parents.

At his request there will not be a funeral.  A private family graveside service will be held in the spring.
