Myrtle Lorentson, formerly of Maynard, died on Friday December 1, 1995 at the Clara City Nursing Home at the age of 88.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday December 5, 1995 at 1:00 P.M. at the Maynard Lutheran Church in Maynard with Rev. Louise Esbjornson officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Brooten, MN.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Myrtle Kristine (Olson) Lorentson was born on August 10, 1907 in Gilchrist Township, of Pope County, MN the daughter of Christian and Oline (Beitdokken) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at West Lake Johanna Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. She was united in marriage to Clarence Lorentson on June 24, 1933 at West Lake Johanna Lutheran Church. They lived in rural Brooten and Beardsley, MN before moving to Maynard, MN in 1938. Clarence died in 1962. She has been a resident of the Clara City Nursing Home for the past 3 years. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and sewing.
She is survived by one son Melvin Lorentson and his wife Myrna of Maynard, MN; three grandchildren: Gwen Jaenisch and her husband LeRoy of Clara City, MN, Amy Grane and her husband David of Granite Falls, MN, and Chris Lorentson and his wife Michelle of Lorton, VA; six great-grandchildren: Ross, Claire, and Morgan Jaenisch, Lauren and Nolan Grane, and Alexandra Lorentson; one sister-in-law, Clara Lorentson; and by three nieces.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Clarence; one brother, Elmer Olson; and one sister, Olga Halvorson.
