Myrtle Tanhoff, 85, of Watson, died March 14, 1999 at the Clara City Nursing Home in Clara City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and with the family present from 6-8:00 P.M.

Myrtle Bertina (Benson) Tanhoff was born March 1, 1914 at Luverne, MN the daughter of Martin and Hulda (Olander) Benson.  She was baptized at Blue Mound Lutheran Church at Luverne, confirmed at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church near Sacred Heart, and attended rural school in District #42 near Sacred Heart.  Myrtle was united in marriage with Harold W. Tanhoff September 7, 1963 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN.  They made their home at Montevideo.  Myrtle was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Dorias Lydia Circle.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; one son Merald Sagnes and his wife Bonnie of Trade Lake, WI; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Benny Benson; and one sister, Stella Skrudkrud.
