Noelle Koosmann, age 35, of Montevideo, MN, passed away Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital. After 3 1/2 years of courageously battling breast cancer, Noelle could no longer continue the fight and took her last breath peacefully in the comfort of family. She has been an inspiration to us all throughout this battle and will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 12th from 5 - 8:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church at 220 South 13th Street, Montevideo, MN 56265 with Rev. Mari Thorkelson and Rev. Chris Zuraff officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Noelle was born on February 21, 1981 in St. Paul, MN, as the eldest of four daughters to Mark and Rosanne (Adrian) Crea. She grew up and went to school in Amery, WI and graduated in 1999, heading to Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. After graduation, she moved to the Twin Cities and worked for Twin Cities Orthopedics, in the medical field, which she loved, advancing from Administrative Assistant to Marketing Manager. On August 21, 2004 she married the love of her life, Brad Koosmann and they had three children whom they adore with their whole hearts, Brendan, Megan and Emily. In 2008, they moved to Montevideo, MN, where they have lived since, becoming as involved in the community, school and church as possible.
Noelle had many passions, including reading, playing cards, water-skiing, fishing, gardening, cooking and volleyball, but far and away her strongest passion was her family and friends. As challenging as it could be to balance all of these things in her life, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with Brad, cuddling with her children, spending time with their families, and laughing with their friends.
She is survived by her husband, Brad; children: Brendan, Megan, and Emily; parents: Mark and Rosanne Crea of Amery, WI: in-laws: Gene and Mary Koosmann of Madison, MN; siblings: Elizabeth (Chris) Davis of Lee Summit, MO, Lauren Crea of St. Paul, MN, Cathy (Josh) Huizar of St. Paul, MN; Brad’s siblings: Jason (Tami) Koosmann of Sartell, MN and Jill (Chuck) Nelson of Carver, MN; and eight nieces and nephews.
Preceding Noelle in death were her paternal and maternal grandparents.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers that memorials be given to the family for their children for college.
