Nora Cornelia (Dvergsten) Andrews

Nora Andrews, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday July 25, 1995 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 95.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday July 27, 1995 at 1: 30 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in  Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton officiating.  Burial in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.

Nora Cornelia (Dvergsten) Andrews was born on March 29, 1900 in Chippewa Co., MN to Hans and Bertha (Thompson) Dvergsten.  She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Watson and attended rural schools.  She was united in marriage to Sibert Andrews.  They lived on a farm Northeast of Montevideo for many years prior to moving into Montevideo.  She lived for several years at Parkview Tower in Montevideo following her husband's death and has been a resident of the Luther Haven Nursing Home since 1988.  She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a one son, Norman Andrews and his wife Muriel of Fillmore, CA; three grandchildren: Grai Andreason, Greg (Stacy) Andrews, and Noreen (Mark) Monroe;  four great-grandchildren: Ryan and Kailey Andrews and Meika and Keenan Monroe; and four sisters: Ida Talbert of Sauk Rapids, MN, Birdella Jones of Montevideo, MN, Mildred (Selmer) Torstenson of Dawson, MN, and Jeanette Ylvisaker of Sisters, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sibert in 1976; and one son, Sherman; and two brothers: Julian and Harold.
