Olga Anderson, 96, of Milan, MN died Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo, MN.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 2, 2001 at 1:30 P.M. at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan, MN. Rev. Wayne Anderson officiated and interment was at Kviteseid Lutheran - Milan Methodist Cemetery.
Olga Johanna (Strid) Anderson was born June 13, 1904 in Swift County, MN the daughter of Edward and Netta (Stevens) Strid. She was united in marriage with Carl H. Anderson May 23, 1923. They farmed for many years on the “Nykos” farm south of Milan, which had belonged to Carl’s father. They moved into Milan after they retired and enjoyed many years at their cabin on Lake Minnewaska. They also enjoyed traveling. She was an active member of Kviteseid Lutheran Church, WELCA, Homemakers, Red Cross, Sister Kenny, and Founder’s Day.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Debra (Anderson) Rohloff and her husband Robert of LeSueur, MN; one great-granddaughter, Carla Marie Rohloff; two sisters: Hazel Moe of Montevideo, MN and Norma Winkleman of Milan, MN; one brother, Warren Streed of Milan, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Carl in 1984; her daughter Mary Lou Anderson January 13, 2001; one sister, Helma Reuss; and five brothers: Eric, Fritz, Verner, Albert, and Arnold Streed.
