Olga (Golden) Saby

Olga Saby died on Thursday, October 18, 2001 at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 99.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, October 20, 2001 at 10:30 AM at the Watson Lutheran Church in Watson with Rev. Larry Olson officiating.  Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Olga Saby was born on January 5, 1902 in Chippewa County, MN to Olavus and Gina (Peterson) Golden.  She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. On February 23, 1929 she was united in marriage to Ole Saby in Watson, MN.  They farmed in the Sacred Heart area for several years before moving to Watson, where she lived  until entering the Clarkfield Care Center in 1985.  She was a long time member of Watson Lutheran Church.

Olga is survived by nieces: Gertrude Eide of Milan, MN and Florence Kulbeck of Montevideo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ole in 1986; three brothers: Elmer Golden, Alfred Golden and Jim Golden; and one sister, Cora Snodell.
