Olga (Wenskaug) Sampson was born October 18, 1918 near Madison, MN the daughter of Ole and Selina (Stavhus) Wenskaug. She was confirmed at Borgund Lutheran Church. Olga graduated from Appleton High School and had Nurses Training in Madison. She was united in marriage with Elmer "Red" Sampson on October 28, 1948 at Dawson, MN. Two children were born to them: Doug and Barb. Olga spent many years as a nurse at the Dawson Hospital where she made many friends and was so kind to all she cared for. She retired from nursing in 1984. After her husbands death in 1987, she lived at the Riverside Manor and has spent the last few years at the Johnson Memorial Home. Olga loved traveling, garage sales, dancing, and most of all visiting with her friends, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.
She is survived by one son, Doug of San Diego, CA; one daughter, Barb Anspach and her husband Dave of Montevideo, MN; six grandchildren: Allison and Chad Dansby, Jessica and Chad Hunsinger, Doug Sampson, Jr., Dusty Anspach, Jake Anspach, and Cristal Lindahl; six great-grandchildren: Cody, Taylor, Dalton, and Cassidy Dansby, Oliver Hunsinger, and Chase Jordan Anspach; one brother, Orville Wenskaug of Madison, MN; four sisters: Solveig (Benroy) Smaagaard of Dawson, MN, Mildred Harstad of Marietta, MN, Delores Bengtson of Big Stone City, SD, and Marlys (Vern) Redepenning of Bellingham, MN; and many loving nieces and nephews and special friends Gail and Doug Tongen.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Red November 8, 1987; beloved grandson, Christopher Anspach; and two sisters: twin sister Nora Ritland and Geneva Salyers.
