Olivia Eriksen, of Montevideo, died on Friday, January 16, 2004 in Apple Valley, MN at the age of 84.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 1:30 PM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Donald McKee officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening, with the family from 5 - 7 PM and with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Olivia Caroline Eriksen was born on August 28, 1919 in Mandt Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Andrew and Alma (Christenson) Nokleby. She was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and attended rural schools in District 31. She attended Brady-Rogers Beauty School and worked for over 60 years as a beautician. On January 11, 1942 she was united in marriage to Olaf Eriksen at the home of Rev. M. B. Eriksen in Maynard, MN. She was a long time resident of Montevideo and has been a resident of the Apple Valley Health Care Center for the past eight years. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and was active in circles and taught Sunday School and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Hospital Auxiliaries. She enjoyed needlework and sewing, cake decorating, gambling, oil painting, ceramics and family time at the lake.
She is survived by three daughters: Sharon Lovell and her husband Robert of Apple Valley, MN; Sheila Thomton and her husband Richard of Bemidji, MN and Sheree Williamson and her husband John of Montevideo, MN; 7 grandchildren: Eric Lovell and his wife Leann of Inver Grove Heights, MN; Shestine Gesbocker and her husband Brad of Plainfield, IL; Jamie Thomton of Seward, AK; Heather Thomton-Stockman and her husband Jason of Elk River, MN; Jason Williamson and his wife Kathy of St. Charles, MN; and Patrick and Angela Williamson of Montevideo and 3 great grandchildren: Conner and Robert Gesbocker and Caitlin Johnson
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Olaf in 1986 , by a sister, Alfa Myhre in 2002 and by a great grandson, Carter John Williamson in 2004.
