Orville Moseng, of Montevideo, died on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Rosewood Assisted Living in Montevideo at the age of 77. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Tim Wheatley officiating. Interment will be in the Appleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 6 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Orville Harvey Moseng was born on September 11, 1933 in Lac qui Parle Co., MN to Jens and Mabel (Benson) Moseng. He was baptized on October 21, 1933 and confirmed on June 15, 1947at Watson Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. He served in the U S Army. He worked for many years as a farm hand for various farming operations. He was currently living at Rosewood Assisted Living in Montevideo. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and VFW Post #380. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, watching the Vikings, visiting with people and going for rides. He is survived by four sisters: Pearl (and Bill) Miller of Spokane, WA; Marvis Moe of Appleton, MN; Ruby (and Bill) Taylor of Blaine, MN and Inez Johnson of Montevideo as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Clayton Moseng in 1955, Jerome Moseng in 1969, Stanley Moseng in 2002 and a baby brother in infancy and by a sister, Irene Aarvig in 1976.
