Palmer "Click" Zempel, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 82. Funeral services are at 10:30 Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Palmer James "Click" Zempel was born on August 11, 1927 on the family farm in Lac qui Parle Co. to Louis and Bertha (Kling) Zempel. He grew up in Lac qui Parle County and attended fural schools. He farmed for a number of years and worked at Anderson Tire and Brandton Tire for many years prior to retiring. He has been a resident of Luther Haven for the past number of years. He liked to play cards and put puzzles together. He is survived by two sisters: Florine Nordby and Bernice Goulson, both of Montevideo as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Francis, Kenneth and Robert Zempel and by three sisters: Dorothy Adamson, Gloria Hoff and Grace Anderson.
