Patricia Tanhoff, formerly of Montevideo, died on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN at the age of 62. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Gwen Bohlke officiating. Visitation will be Friday with the family present from 4 - 6 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Patricia Kay (Phillips) Tanhoff was born on June 30, 1947 in Montevideo, MN to Paul and Lois (Mackey) Phillips. She was baptized at home and confirmed at the United Methodist Church. She attended Montevideo schools, graduating from Montevideo High School in 1965. After working in Minneapolis for a couple of years, she was united in marriage to Loren Tanhoff in 1967. They lived in Montevideo for 20 years before she moved back to Minneapolis in 1988. She graduated from Normandale College with a degree in Nursing. She worked the span of her career as a RN in the Benedictine Health Care System as a Nurse Manager as well as Director of Nursing. She was a hard worker and loved to cook, entertain, laugh and be with her children and family. Patricia is survived by three children: Mark Tanhoff of Renville, MN, Tracy Tanhoff of Rochester, MN and Sara Tanhoff of Edina, MN; three grandchildren: Travis Gullickson, Sean Tanhoff and Kayla Tanhoff; a great-granddaughter, Tianna Gullickson; her parents, Paul and Lois Phillips of Montevideo; two brothers: Tom Phillips of Willmar, MN and Peter Phillips of Montevideo, MN; three sisters: Peggy Little of Circle Pines, MN, Jodi Phillips of Watertown, SD and Shelly Elkington of Montevideo, MN; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; an infant sister, Mary Ellen Phillips and a niece, Jennifer Phillips.
