Patricia "Pat" Miller

October 13, 1953 — March 8, 2011

Patricia Gail Miller, of Hull, Iowa, formerly of Dawson, died Tuesday evening, March 8, 2011, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 57. Visitation was on Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30PM at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Funeral service was at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastors Kendall Stelter and Keith Long officiating; the recording of "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" was played; and pianist, Sue Christopher accompanied the singing of "Amazing Grace" and "On Eagle's Wings." Damian, Miguel, Teresa, KelceeJo, Kobe, Zachery and Jakeb were honorary and the active casketbearers were Lawrence Miller, Kevin Lanners, Dale Lanners, Robert Lanners, Duane Miller and Johnny Miller. Interment was in Terrace Lawn Memory Garden Cemetery, rural Montevideo. Patricia "Pat" Gail Miller was born on October 13, 1953, to parents, Merlin Newton and Frances (Bultnick). She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She lived most of her life in Marshall and Dawson before moving to Hull, Iowa, in April of 2010. Pat had a big huge heart that spread a lot of love and joy to those in her life. Her passion was spending every moment she could with her grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews: attending their football games, school and church programs, or just snuggling on the couch and watching a movie. Pat was reunited with her father and mother in her passing on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 57. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal (Mariano) Uvieta of Hull, Iowa; grandchildren: Damian, Miguel and Teresa; special niece, Bobbie Jo Spencer, and her children, KelceeJo, Kobe, Zachery and Jakeb; brother, Mike (Deb) Newton of Marshall; sisters: Tammy Zietlow of Hoffman, MN, and Michelle (Duane) Miller of Dawson; other family and friends. Blessed be her memory.
