Paul Bergo, of Montevideo, died on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Sanford South University Campus in Fargo, ND at the age of 88. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Tim Ehling officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7:00 P.M. and with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Paul Arthur Bergo was born on October 26, 1922 in Rosewood Township of Chippewa County, MN to Edward and Ruth (Morrill) Bergo. He was baptized on January 25, 1923 and confirmed on April 25, 1937 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. He attended Montevideo High School. On January 9, 1947 he was united in marriage to Lois J. Brown in Montevideo, MN. He spent his entire married life living in Montevideo, where he worked as an accountant and Credit Union Manager. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he had taught Sunday School, was a member of the men's club, served as an usher and played in the New Life Band. He enjoyed playing guitar and sharing music with his family, fishing and hunting with his family and was known for his sense of humor and love of family. He is survived by daughters: Karen Tabor and her husband Darwin of Buffalo, ND and Wendy Olson and her husband Gordon of Melrose, MN; three grandchildren: Carmen Garrigan and her husband Douglas of Bemidji, MN; Corey Tabor of Buffalo, ND and Christin Johnson and her husband Eric of Rice, MN; two great-grandchildren: Allison and Anna Garrigan; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois in 2003; and by two brothers, Loren and Robert Bergo.
