Paul Kenneth Perkins was born February 16, 1908 in Little Sioux, IA the son of Justin and Bertha (Terry) Perkins. In his early childhood the family moved to a farm east of Montevideo. His parents later purchased a farm east of Dawson in Baxter Township. Paul was united in marriage with Tilla M. Haakenson June 12, 1929. They purchased half of his parents farm in 1958 and they continued to live there until 1993 when they moved into Dawson. Paul entered the Johnson Memorial Home in December of 1995.
He is survived by his son, Donald and his wife Alice of Dawson, MN; seven grandchildren: Russel (Pam) Perkins of Bourbonnais, IL, Penny (Gary) Jordahl of Vancouver, WA, Kenneth Perkins of Dawson, MN, Scott (Joni) Perkins of Fairmont, MN, Kelly (Lisa) Perkins of Minnetonka, MN, Chadd Perkins of Mora, MN, and Jerrad Perkins of Dawson, MN; eight great-grandchildren: Eric and Evan Perkins, Ty and Jamie Jordahl, Joey and Lindsay Perkins, and Demia and Dylan Perkins; and one brother, Harry Perkins of Yucca Valley, CA.
Paul died on Monday, January 19, 1998, at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 89.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Tilla in 1997; seven brothers: Carl, Clyde, Archie, Ray, Terry, Guy, and Harvey; and two sisters: Marie Hopkins and Gladys Barrett.
