Paula Jean (Ennis) Knight

Paula Knight, of Montevideo, died on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 69.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Rev. Paul Woolverton officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with the family being present from 5 - 7 PM and with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Paula Jean (Ennis) Knight was born on March 3, 1937 in Oakland, CA to Floyd and Maud (Dillman) Ennis. She grew up in Van Nuys, CA and graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1955. In 1955 she was united in marriage to Melvin Sammons in Van Nuys, CA.  After their marriage ended she lived for several years in North Hollywood, CA before moving to Montevideo in 1976. She was united in marriage to Warren Knight on March 27, 1987 at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo.  She worked for many years at MTI and Innovex before retiring in 1999. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of the church choir.  Along with her husband she was a very active member of the Minnesota Valley Antique Farm Power Machinery Association and Heritage Hill.  She  enjoyed doing needlework, flower gardening, music, traveling, camping in their motor home at threshing shows and being with family and friends.

Paula is survived by  five children: Russell Sammons and his wife Carolina of Walnut ,CA, Harold Sammons and his wife Tammy of Citrus Heights, CA, Gordon Sammons and his wife Kim of Reno, NV, Kathy Nelson and her husband Jon of Montevideo, MN, and Lewis Sammons and his wife Treva of Ellsworth, MN; fourteen grandchildren; a sister, Susan Aldridge and her husband Terry of Lake Zurich, IL and a niece and nephew.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents and by  her husband Warren in 2005.
