Pauline Knight died Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo, MN at the age of 93.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Rev. Paul Woolverton will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Pauline Zola (Erickson) Knight was born April 29, 1909 at Newell, IA the daughter of Frank and Genoa (Ellis) Erickson. She moved with her family to the Montevideo area as a young girl and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1926. She was united in marriage with Willard C. Knight August 18, 1926 in Montevideo, MN. They made their home and farmed in Sparta Township, Chippewa County, MN. Willard died December 7, 1965 and Pauline continued to live on the farm. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and its Lydia Circle, the Rebecca Lodge and Homemakers. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and being a farm wife.
She is survived by four children: Genoa (Lucien) DeSalvo of Plymouth, MN, Warren (Paula) Knight of Montevideo, MN, Jean Fraasch of Tehachapi, CA, and Paul (Margaret) Knight of Coon Rapids, MN; one sister-in-law, Ardis Knight of Pennock, MN; ten grandchildren: Brian Knight, Kevin (Nancy) Knight, Brad Knight, Matthew Knight, Stephen (Rebecca) Knight, Serge (Mary) DeSalvo, Jean Luc (Tseui-ping) DeSalvo, Cindy (Howard) Buff, Barbara (Wayne) Spate, and David (Jean) Fraasch; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Russell Erickson of San Jose, CA; seven sisters: Irene Flores of Savoy, IL, Opal Winslow of Emonds, WA, Mildred Wilkinson of Montevideo, MN, Ethel (Robert) Wetzler of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Evelyn (Merlin) Stratmoen of Hurst, TX, Frances Erickson of Laguna Hills, CA, and Elinor (Jim) Thursby of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Willard; two sons: Wendell and Donald Knight; one son-in-law, Forrest Fraasch; one granddaughter, Karla (Dan) Boerner; and one brother, Alton Erickson.
