Pearl Larson, of Montevideo, MN, died on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 94.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Rev. Marie Eckberg will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home for 1 hour before the services on Tuesday.
Pearl Larson was born January 26, 1920 at Rosewood Township, Chippewa County to Albert and Ingeborg (Anderson) Wik. She was baptized at Brono Lutheran Church in Rosewood Township, rural Montevideo. Pearl graduated from Montevideo High School in 1938. She worked at Tomhave’s Drug Store in Montevideo for many years. Pearl was united in marriage to Merlyn Larson on January 17, 1943 at Brono Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, Merlyn and Pearl returned to the Air Force Base in New Mexico. After his discharge, they returned to Montevideo where they worked for Hauger Hardware Store and eventually purchased the business. Pearl enjoyed dancing with her husband, snowmobiling, and doing many other activities.
Pearl is survived by her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn in 2005; her parents; sisters, Myrtle Harding, Florence Bourne, and Irene Ost; and brothers, Oliver Wik and Henry Wik.
