Percy Marvin Saue

Percy Saue, of Dawson, died on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 73.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1: 30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd with Rev. Jack Torgerson officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening with the family present from 4 - 6 :30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Percy Marvin Saue was born on June 27, 1933 in Swift County, MN to Oscar and Ida (Lynne) Saue.  He was baptized on July 23, 1933 and confirmed on June 27, 1948 at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and attended schools in rural district #63.  He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  On November 21, 1954 he was united in marriage to Glynice Anderson and to this union 5 children were born.  He was a self-employed painter and carpenter, worked as a farm hand and drove bus for many years for Simon Olson.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW and was very active in the Sons of Norway.  He loved to play pinocle and bingo, liked to bowl, hunt, fish and dance.

He is survived by four children: Dave Saue and his wife Linda of Montevideo, Mike Saue and his wife Lu of Boyd, Pam Hanson of Klawock, AK, and Brenda Sandven and friend Gary Rodeberg of Watson, MN; fourteen grandchildren: Eric, Ross, Jason, Becky, Carl, Kyle, Leslie, Amanda, Cody, Danielle, Harley, Courtney, Whitney and Skylar; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Cora Gilbertson and her husband Julien of Montevideo and Alice Dougherty of Willmar, MN; a brother, George Saue and his wife Phyllis of Montevideo; a sister-in-law, LaVilla Saue of Boyd, MN; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bradley; a granddaughter, Lea;  two brothers: Orville and Leslie; and by a son-in-law, Larry Hanson.
