VISITATION ON SUNDAY HAS BEEN CANCELED. Peter Phillips died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his home in Montevideo at the age of 52. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Peter Edward Phillips was born January 30, 1959 at Montevideo, MN the son of Paul and Lois (Mackey) Phillips. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church and graduated from Montevideo Senior High in 1977. Peter was united in marriage with Vicky Hanson in 1976 at Pioneer Village in Montevideo. He attended school in Willmar and moved to Colorado where he worked as a pipe fitter. He moved back to Montevideo in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, playing horseshoes, and golfing. He especially loved his dog "Harley" and he always looked forward to the annual fishing trip with his buddies. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Mark) Repovich of Gilbertsville, KY; two grandchildren: Collin and Hallie Repovich; his parents, Paul and Lois Phillips of Montevideo, MN; three sisters: Peggy (Lindsay) Little of Circle Pines, MN, Jodi Phillips of Watertown, SD, and Shelly (Tim) Elkington of Montevideo, MN; one brother, Thomas (Rita) Phillips of Willmar, MN; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Preceding him in death were his grandparents; one daughter, Jennifer Lois Phillips on June 23, 2001; and one sister, Patricia Tanhoff.
