Phyllis (Bothun) Billings

November 25, 1933 — May 22, 1994

Phyllis Billings, of Montevideo, died on Sunday May 22, 1994 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 60.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday May 25 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton and Rev. Lloyd Tobiassen officiating.  Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Phyllis Elaine (Bothun) Billings was born on November 25, 1933 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Edwin and Helen Bothun.  She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  She attended schools in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1951.  On March 16, 1957 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Billings at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  They lived in Minneapolis for 12 years, moving back to Montevideo in 1968.  She was employed for many years at Innovex in Montevideo.  She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and was active in it's women's groups, and was involved in volunteer work including delivering meals on wheels.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth; by sons - Rev. Kurt Billings of Madison, Wi. and Rick Billings of Montevideo; 5 grandchildren; by brothers - Wayne and Rodney Bothun of Montevideo; by sisters - Wanda Kittelson and Avis Peters of Montevideo; as well as by a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
