Ralph Anderson, 84, of Spicer, died February 13, 1999 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer, MN with Rev. Paul Idstrom and Rev. Scott Gjevre officiating. The burial will be at Kviteseid Lutheran Milan Methodist Cemetery in Milan, MN at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Wayne Anderson presiding.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before services on Wednesday.
Ralph Anderson was born November 5, 1914 at Milan, MN the son of Christian and Gina (Kanten) Anderson. He graduated from Milan High School in 1932. Ralph served in the US Army during WW II as a communications specialist. He was united in marriage with Margaret Mickelson March 18, 1943 at Milan, MN. They made their home at Lake Preston, SD where he worked as a service representative for OtterTail Power Co. for 38 years until retiring in 1979. After his retirement, they moved to Spicer, MN. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Spicer, the Lions Club, the Little Crow Golf Club, the Senior Citizens Club, a volunteer at Green Lake Bible Camp, an avid bowler, and an active member in his church.
He is survived by two daughters: Leslie Anderson and her husband Gene Engelstad of Elk River, MN and Marie Nelson and her fiancé Jerome Gertken of Rochester, MN and two grandsons: Matthew MacGregor and Paul Meier.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Margaret December 27, 1993; and nine brothers and sisters.
