Ralph Bristle, of Maynard, died on Sunday, October 24, 1999 at his home in Maynard at the age of 67.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 27, 1999 at 10:30 AM at Maynard Lutheran Church in Maynard with Rev. Mary Hovland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM, all at the Maynard Lutheran Church in Maynard. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of Funeral arrangements.
Ralph Warren Bristle was born on October 28, 1931 at his family’s home farm in Leenthrop Twp, of Chippewa Co., MN to Frederick and Eunice (Snide) Bristle. He grew up in the Maynard area and attended Maynard Public Schools. He served in the National Guard for two years. On August 21, 1954 he was united in marriage to Shirley Schroeder in Eagle Bend, MN. He farmed in rural Maynard from 1954- 1972, owned and operated Bristle Plumbing and Heating from 1972 - 1996 and served as Maynard Police Chief and a Chippewa Co Deputy for a number of years before retiring. He was a member of Maynard Lutheran Church, American Legion Post # 252, Lions Club and Maynard Fire Department. He enjoyed working on the farm and visiting with people.
He is survived by four children: John Bristle and his wife Cathy of Maynard, David Bristle and his wife Rona of Maynard, Janet Bosch and her husband Larry of Clara City, and Daniel Bristle and his wife Brenda of Maynard; eleven grandchildren; and two sisters: Marjorie Bristle of Minneapolis, MN and Viola Cunningham of Willmar, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
