Richard H. Klucas, of Boyd, MN, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson at the age of 72. Services were held on Saturday, August 21 at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home. Richard Hiko Klucas was born June 30, 1938 at Watertown, SD the son of Leonard and Grace (Herding) Klucas. He attended school and grew to adulthood there. He was united in marriage with Mary Eagan at Milbank, SD on June 7, 1959. They moved to Minneapolis in the mid 1960's and he worked as a local delivery truck driver. Mary died February 17, 2001. After her death, he moved out to western Minnesota and was currently living in Boyd. Richard loved fishing, camping and the outdoors. He is survived by five children: David (fiance Tamera Claugherty) Klucas of Rosemount, MN, Linda (husband Victor) Taylor of Elk Grove, CA, Robert Klucas of Minneapolis, MN, Nancy (husband Dean) Severson of Minneapolis, MN, and Jeffrey Klucas of Marshall, MN; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers: Eugene (wife Dorothy) Klucas of Sioux Falls, SD and Casper Klucas of Washington, D.C. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Klucas.
