Richard "Rick" Frederick Kiroff

Richard F. “Rick” Kiroff, 48, of Montevideo, died Thursday, August 27, 1998 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN as the result of a construction accident.

Funeral services were be held, Monday, August 31, 1998 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  Rev. Warren Broughton and Rev. Doug Olson  officiated and interment was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Richard Frederick Kiroff was born August 12, 1950 at Montevideo, MN the son of Richard R. and Beverly (Frederickson) Kiroff.  He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and graduated from Montevideo Senior High in 1968.  He was united in marriage with Victoria Boike August 5, 1972 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, MN.  They made their home in Montevideo and Rick worked as a building contractor with his father, Dick and continued on his own after Dick retired in 1987.  Rick was a member, past president, and currently the librarian for the West Central Connection Barbershop Chorus.  He was their Barbershopper of the Year in 1996 and a member of SPEBSQSA.  Rick enjoyed singing, antique cars and restoration, and collecting Coke memorabilia.  He was active at Our Savior's Lutheran Church where he sang in the Church Choir and was a confirmation mentor.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; two daughters: Amy Kiroff of Mankato, MN and Allison Kiroff of Montevideo, MN; his father, Dick of Montevideo, MN; four sisters: Constance (Bob) Bovee of Macungie, PA, Barbara Ebers of Jacksonville, FL, Katherine (Randy) Slocum of Gilbert, IA, and Janis (Nathan) Miles of Duncanville, TX; his father-in-law, Louis H. Boike of Clara City, MN; three brothers-in-law: Dennis (Cheryl) Boike of Clara City, MN, Douglas (Janice) Boike of Clara City, MN, and Randy (Ida) Boike of Champlin, MN; and  nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents; his mother, Beverly Kiroff;  two infant sisters and by his mother-in-law - Alice Boike.
