Robert Lee Anderson

Robert L. Anderson, of Montevideo, MN, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at CCM Health in Montevideo at the age of 80.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo.  Pastor Kent Borglum will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Robert Lee Anderson was born July 9, 1943 in Montevideo, MN to Glen and Luella (Schuerer) Anderson.  He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.  Robert attended and graduated from Montevideo High School. He was united in marriage to Donna Janke in 1964 at St. Johns Lutheran Church and to this union three children were born. Robert then spent 20 plus years with his special friend Wanda Flickinger until her passing in 2010.  He worked for Jennie-O in Montevideo for over 20 years in security.  Robert loved spending his time outdoors doing various activities.  With his love for the outdoors came his love for fishing and camping.  Robert was also very fond of old cars and attended many car shows over the years.  Robert was very proud of the family he raised and enjoyed spending time with them dearly.

He is survived by his children, Timothy (Lisa) Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Nola (Joe) Saldin of Crystal, MN, and Valerie (Ronald) Shaw of Owatonna, MN; grandchildren, Garrett Grussendorf, Logan Anderson, Olivia Shaw, Spencer Shaw and Benjamin Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Glynice Saue and Betty Henriksen; brother, Wayne Anderson; and special friend, Wanda Flickinger.
