Robert Bode, 72, of Wood Lake passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at his home.

Private memorial services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Granite Falls with Pastor Janel Kuester officiating.  Memorial services will be recorded and available on Robert’s obituary page on the funeral home’s website, Sunday, February 14, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Warriors and Walleyes Outdoors.

Robert Duane Bode was born February 10, 1948 in Wood Lake, MN to Ezra And Renetta Bode.  He grew up on the family farm and attended grade school at St. Luke’s Parochial School in Posen Township through 8th grade.  He attended high school at Concordia Academy in St. Paul, MN.  He attended Anoka Junior College for one year and then started his second year at SMSU.  He entered the Air Force in 1969.  He was a jet mechanic and the youngest crew chief at Travis Air Force Base in California.  He was honorably discharged in 1972 to return to the farm.  He farmed until 1984 then went to work at Midcontinent Cabinetry until 2010.  His passion was gardening, and he had a large garden and shared tomatoes with many.

He was united in marriage to Charlotte Timm on September 14, 1968.  They were blessed with three children, Mark, Michelle, and Brian.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children, Michelle and Brian; daughter-in-law, Samantha; grandchildren, Christopher (Mariel), Nathan, Kassandra (Nikolai), Taylahn, Elijah, Vivianna; great-granddaughter, Waverly; brothers, Curt (Sandy) Bode and Kevin (Karin) Bode; sisters, Bea Scheer and Elizabeth (Pete) Lavin; sister-in-law, Dianne Bode; mother-in-law, Ruth Timm; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Mark; parents, Ezra and Renetta; brother Burdette; brother-in-law, Verlin Scheer; and father-in-law, Gordon Timm.
