Robert Earle Deno was born May 3, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, to Effie (Swenson) and John Deno, Jr. On May 12, 1962, he became ill with bacterial meningitis and was baptized at St. Barnabas Hospital in Minneapolis. He was cared for at home for six years and then lived at Faribault for seven years. At the age of 13, Robert entered Homeward Bound and lived there for 24 years. In April of this year, he became ill and was unable to recover. At the age of 37, Robert died on Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Homeward Bound in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Robert is survived by his parents, John and Effie of Dawson; twin brother, William (Darcy) and children, Karly & Drake of Shakopee; brother, David (Martha) and children, Bryan, Kevin, & Julianne of Dallas, TX; sister, Nancy (James) Gohman and children, Christopher & Michelle of Plymouth; and grandmothers, Evelyn Deno of Minneapolis and Bertha Swenson of Dawson; other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Deno, Sr. and Sam P. Swenson.
