Robert Jordahl died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Veterans Home in Luverne, MN at the age of 88.
Memorial service will be held at a later date in the Spring.
Robert LeRoy Jordahl was born September 27, 1924, at Dawson, MN, to Howard and Julia (Larson) Jordahl. He was baptized and confirmed at Riverside Lutheran Church and graduated from Dawson High School in 1942. He served in the US Army from 1943 until 1946 as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. Bob was united in marriage to Audrey Thompson in 1946. He worked as an electrical foreman and lineman across North Dakota and South Dakota and on the missile silos in Rapid City, SD. Bob moved to Arizona in 1972, and
married Doris Lee in 1975. Bob worked in various carpentry and construction jobs, retiring as a construction superintendent for Grothe Construction Company in Phoenix. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy; four children in infancy; his wife, Audrey in 1968, and his wife, Doris in 2011.
He is survived by his son, Van (Karen) Jordahl of Stacy, MN, and his daughter, Bobbye Ann (Dan) Wendt of Elk Point, SD; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister, Marjory Bakay of Davis, CA; brother, Merril Jordahl of Sioux Falls, SD; and his stepsons: David Lee of Spokane, WA, and Rodney (Leslie) Lee of Chino Valley, AZ.
