Robert "Bob" Woodford, of Waconia and formerly of Montevideo, died on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 55. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Tim Ehling officiating. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 - 7 P.M. and with a prayer service at 6:45 P.M.at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo. Robert William Woodford was born on May 14, 1954 to Frank and Alicia (Kashmark) Woodford. He grew up in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1972. He attended the University of Minnesota at Morris. He worked at Brown School in Austin, TX, Unity Hospital in St. Paul and Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis as an Adolescent Psychology Counselor. He worked for Boston Scientific in the Stent Delivery System program and was currently working for St. Jude Medical in the same department. Bob was currently living on a farm near Waconia, MN and loved the tranquility of being in the country. He was a very kind, loving and gentle person. His interests included music, travel, reading, nature, fishing, hockey, and especially being with his family and friends. Bob is survived by his mother, Alicia of Montevideo; a brother, Richard (and Pam and Tasha) of Denver, CO; a sister, Kathryn (and Scott) Ovshak of Maple Grove, MN. as well as by extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Woodford in 2006 and a brother, David Woodford in 1977. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society
