Robert "Bob" Cook, 70, of Montevideo died May 14, 1995 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Rev. Robert Ford will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services on Thursday.
Robert David Cook was born February 26, 1925 at Bismarck, ND the son of Paul and Florence (Paris) Cook. He moved with his family to Fargo where he graduated from Fargo Central High School. Bob later graduated from North Dakota State University. He entered the US Army in June 1943 and served during WW II and the Korean War, leaving active duty as a 1st Lt. He retired from the Army Reserve in 1967 with the rank of Major. He worked for J. C. Penney & Co. for several years in Fargo. In 1953 he began working for NSP in Fargo. Bob was united in marriage to June Teichmann August 14, 1954 at Fargo, ND. In 1961 he moved to Moorhead, MN. and was office manager until 1966, when he moved to Montevideo. Bob was the District Manager of NSP in Montevideo until he retired in 1987. While he lived in Moorhead he was President of the Chamber of Commerce and President of Rotary. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church, Kiwanis, American Legion, and VFW in Montevideo.
He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters: Kathleen Cook and fiance Bruce Moss of Bowling Green, Ohio and Paula Oxenreider and her husband Stephen of Willmar, MN; one granddaughter, Mina Oxenreider; and one sister, Pat Tenneson and her husband Robert of Littleton, CO.
