Roger Milton Augeson

Roger Augeson, 76 of Watson died July 28, 1999 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.  Rev. Douglas Olson will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Roger Milton Augeson was born December 3, 1922 in Havelock Township, Chippewa County, MN the son of Sigfred and Alice (Sunderland) Augeson.  He attended school and grew to adulthood in Chippewa County.  Roger served in the CCC’s during the late 1930's.  He was united in marriage with Florence Eide January 9, 1945 in Montevideo.  They farmed in Chippewa County for many years before moving into Watson in 1976.  While living there, he cleaned snow from the city streets.  Roger lovingly cared for his wife for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; seven daughters: Marcia (Charles) Anderson of LeRoy, MN, Barbara Augeson of Watson, MN, Gail (Wallace) Mettling of Montevideo, MN, Sharon (Randy) Christiansen of Parkers Prairie, MN, Janet (Neal) Luschen of Austin, MN, Brenda (Scott) Ellgren of Willmar, MN, and Julie (Wayne) Sulflow of Comfrey, MN; fourteen grandchildren: Jennifer (Matt Rippy) Anderson, C.J. and Matthew Anderson, Ryan, Greg, and Anne Mettling, Corey (Carie) Christiansen, Brett Christiansen, Kimberly, Alison, and Megan Luschen, Jacob Ellgren, and Zachary  and Jamie Sulflow; three brothers: Walter (Ida) Augeson of Montevideo, MN, Warren Augeson of Buffalo Lake, MN, and Harold (Florence) Augeson of Hector, MN; and four sisters: Opal Birhanzl of Montevideo, MN, Cleo (Donald) Myhre of Montevideo, MN, Violet Haff of Montevideo, MN, and Virginia (Amer) Boraas of Dawson, MN.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Wayne Augeson; and four sisters: Ruby Swenson, Pearl Swenson, Fern Lehman, and Velma Augeson in infancy.
