Roger Bergeson, of Dawson, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home in Dawson at the age of 70.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson, MN.   Rev. Kendall Stelter will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services and on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Roger James Bergeson was born April 3, 1945 in Dawson, MN to Noble and Josephine (Klyberg) Bergeson.  He graduated from Dawson High School in 1963.  On October 10, 1964, Roger was united in marriage to Cheryl Sandager at Clarkfield Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN.  Roger loved to help out with farming, visiting with his daughters, searching for things with his metal detector, and teaching his grandchildren how to fish.  Most of all, Roger loved to spend time with his grandchildren and was very supportive of them.  He loved attending all of their events whether they be concerts, sports, or school events.

Roger is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cheryl; three daughters: Melanie (Allen) Bukowski of Brainerd, MN, Cindy (Tony) Aafedt of Dawson, MN, and Angela Chapman of Dawson, MN; 5 grandchildren: Emily and Hayden Bukowski and Cody, Madeline, and Lydia Aafedt; two sisters: Shirley Kittelson and Verona Mork; many brothers and sisters in law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers: Kenneth and Jerome Bergeson; sisters: Gracelyn Helgeson and Ruby Benson; sister-in-law, Darlene Bergeson; and brothers-in-law: Curtis Kittelson, Denny Enevoldsen, and Curtis Nielsen.
