Roger Ellefson

Roger Ellefson of Dawson died on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 63.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson with Rev. Kendall Stelter officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation with family will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Roger Arnold Ellefson was born in Dawson on December 2, 1960 to Roger and Ardis (Nohrenberg) Ellefson.  He attended school in Dawson and graduated from Dawson-Boyd High School in 1979.  He married Audrey Lee on June 27, 1981 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.  They made their home in Dawson where Roger was a surveyor with Larson Tiling from 1979 to the present.  He also served as an EMT for the Dawson Ambulance for over 38 years.

Roger was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.  He enjoyed fishing, especially ice fishing as well as hunting and trap shooting.  Most of all, he was a very dedicated father to all his fur babies he raised.

Roger is survived by his wife, Audrey; a brother, Jeffrey (Sherri) Ellefson of Springfield, MN; a sister, Lisa Ellefson of Port Charlotte, FL;  nieces, nephews, and  friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Roger and Ardis; and a sister, Juanna Ellefson.
