Roger Gustafson, of Milan, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Chippewa County - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 67.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:30 PM at Word Fellowship Church in Appleton. Pastor Ed Brancamp will officiate and interment will be at the Appleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour before the services at the church.
Roger Eugene Gustafson was born April 29, 1945 at Montevideo, MN the son of Adolph and Signe (Bjorgan) Gustafson. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1963. Roger was united in marriage with Linda Tosel February 25, 1967 at Richfield, MN. They lived in Bloomington before moving to a farm in Swift County in 1968. Roger farmed and drove truck for WestCon. He served in the MN Army National Guard for several years. Roger was an usher and greeter at Word Fellowship Church. He enjoyed traveling to Arizona in the winter, playing cards and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; five children: Jennifer (Brian) Witte of Rush City, MN, Sheri (Raymond) Anderson of Rush City, MN, Jodi Larson of Prior Lake, MN, Jon (Alissa) Gustafson of Otsego, MN, and James (Susan) Gustafson of Sacred Heart, MN; 15 grandchildren: Kayla Witte, R.J. Anderson, Jr., Calai Anderson, Cameron Witte, Jordan Larson, Brady Anderson, Lexi Larson, Hayley Gustafson, Ayden Gustafson, Grant Gustafson, Zachary Gustafson, Ella Gustafson, Braydan Larson, and Layla Gustafson; one great-granddaughter, Emma Anderson; two brothers: Ronald (Lois) Gustafson of Montevideo, MN and Thomas (Cheryl) Gustafson of Hutchinson, MN; and a sister, Linda Sandbakken of Montevideo, MN.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Susan Powell.
