Rolf Goulson, of Montevideo, died on Tuesday July 12, 1994 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 77. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday July 16 at 1:30 P.M. at the Big Bend Lutheran Church in Big Bend, Mn. with Rev. Kathryn Rothman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Rolf Norman Goulson was born on April 15, 1917 in Chippewa Co., Minnesota to Adolph and Lena Goulson. He was baptized and confirmed at Big Bend Lutheran Church and attended rural schools. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic at the Ford Garage in Appleton, Halling Motor Co. in Milan, and Bittner-Ward in Montevideo before retiring in 1972. He was a lifelong member of Big Bend Lutheran Church and enjoyed visiting with people, reading and discussing politics.
Rolf is survived by sisters - Clarice and Elna Goulson of Montevideo and Dagny Gunderson of Burnsville, Mn.; by brothers - Ted of Montevideo; Elkin of Granada, Mn.; and Roger of Decorah, Iowa.; as well as by 12 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by brothers - Vernon and Gerald Goulson; and by a sister - Alvina Kleven.
